MH370 TRIBUTE PHOTO EXHIBITION

2014-07-06

The Foreign Correspondents Club of Malaysia in July held a MH370 Tribute Photo Exhibition.

Forty photographs from international and local photographers, covering the missing Malaysia Airlines flight tragedy, were on display from July 6 to July 21 at the Publika Shopping Gallery's Black Bridge and the Blue Bridge on Level 3. The photographers' news organisations included The Associated Press, Reuters, The Sun, Xinhua, The Malaysian Insider and China Press

"Let me reiterate that the government of Malaysia and our international partners will not rest until MH370 is found," Defense Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said when launching the exhibition on Sunday, July 6. "I like to think that this exhibition is a gesture -- however small -- that we have not forgotten about MH370, that we have not given up searching for it, and we will not stop until the plane is found."

"This photo exhibition is our small tribute to the passengers and crew on board flight MH370, and their families who continue to deal with the grief and uncertainty four months on," acting FCCM president Ranjeetha Pakiam said during the launch. "The pictures showcase the media's coverage of one of the biggest mysteries in aviation history unfolding out of Malaysia. While the media responded immediately in its professional capacity, there were many among us who felt deeply with all those involved and affected by the tragedy."

Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai, Malaysia Airlines CEO Ahmad Jauhari Yahya and Department of Civil Aviation head Azharuddin Abdul Rahman joined Hishammuddin at the launch.

We thank Canon for printing the photos and Publika for providing the space.
